Caylee Anthony - The 2:45am Search

UPDATE:

A spokesman with the Orange County Corrections Department told News 13 they received a tip sometime between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. Saturday of a handgun present on the Anthonys' property.

The weapon is being held by the Orange County Sheriff's Office for safe keeping.

WFTV is reporting that the item taken was a gun from George Anthony's car.

Also, early Saturday morning, Orange County deputies removed a gun from the trunk of a car belonging to Casey' father, George Anthony. Such a discovery on the Anthony property could have imperiled Casey Anthony's release from jail, but a spokesman for Orange County Corrections said that a judge ruled that Casey presumably had nothing to do with the weapon.

According to MSNBC this morning, the new Anthony family attorney was unaware of the search.  That said, it could have been Jose Baez who arranged the search to happen away from the prying eyes of the media.  Two  thoughts come to mind:

1) Law enforcement is determining to the letter the timeline based on Casey's story, and what the family members have told LE. (This is as it should be and makes one think LE is really dotting i's and crossing t's.) This has got to concern the family, since one can have the sneaking suspicion that LE has already questioned the grandmother about what she testified at the bond hearing: that in some way, they communicated with Casey every day even though she said to others that Casey had been missing for a month ("I just found my daughter"). The grandmother, unfortunately, has made statements to the press complaining that her "calls" didn't show up on Casey's bill, which as everybody who has a cell phone knows, cell carriers bill you for every call or text you make on the device because alas, that's how they make money. Now it's the grandfather's turn to have his story verified too.

2) If you recall, the grandfather stated that he last saw Casey on June 24th, when she came to the house and he, wanting to get a "wedge" out of her car to change the wife's tires,  found the gas cans in the trunk of Casey's car that he'd reported stolen to the OCSO a couple days prior. the OCSO should have gotten the "wedge" (if that's what they got) a lot earlier, although there may have been discussion amongst investigators that perhaps this evidence wouldn't be worth much: it was taken out of the car and used by someone else and therefore may not reveal anything. Still, it's concerning they didn't do this on their other trips to the home.

Caylee Anthony - Friday Sept. 5th in Orlando

Well when it rains it pours so they say. It looks like it will be raining and windy when Casey gets out of jail, like it was last time.

• Casey Anthony arrives at her parents home at 10:38am.
• WESH 2 (live feed) is reporting that Cindy and George have put up the $500k guarantee for the bond, they are listed on the bonding documents. So who gave them the money, and what did they do or give to get it?
• Casey is out of jail as of 10:13am, Jose had security guards with them.
• Casey is being fitted with a new ankle montoring system
• DCF investigators met with Casey last night in jail (Hoeppner said the case has been open since the family reported the toddler's disappearance in July. Two DCF officials met with Anthony at the Orange County Jail Thursday. "That meeting is a normal part of any investigation. DCF officials are obligated to meet face-to-face with a parent who is being investigated for alleged child abuse," Hoeppner said. "Any information that we might obtain in our investigation will be provided to the Orange County Sheriff's Office in the hope of locating this child.")
• The Anthony's put up part of the $50k bond with an anonymous individual
• ABC's 20/20 is covering the case tonight at 10pm. With new exclusive home videos and pictures. (While they do not pay for interviews, it would seem they may have paid for this content.)

Volunteers needed for Caylee Anthony Search

The Sheriff’s Office continues to receive invaluable support from the Texas EquuSearch team that has come to Orlando to assist in the agency’s effort to locate Caylee Anthony. The agency continues to receive calls from citizens wanting to assist with this ongoing effort. Texas EquuSearch and the Sheriff’s Office are seeking volunteers to participate in searches for the missing three year old on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (September 5, 6, and 7). Volunteers are asked to meet at the search command center at 6317 TPC Boulevard before 8:30 AM. Volunteers will be given maps of the area and assembled into search teams. The daily searches will continue until dusk/dark.

We also continue to receive calls in reference to the specific nature of evidence recovered during the course of the Caylee Anthony investigation. As has been the policy during the course of this or any ongoing investigation being conducted by this agency, the Sheriff’s Office can not and will not provide details regarding the specific nature of criminal evidence it has recovered or expects to recover during the course of the investigation.

We will endeavor to provide you with the most recent and up to date information on this case immediately as it becomes available. Whatever information in released throughout the course of this investigation will ultimately be posted on the Caylee Anthony portion of the agency’s web site.

• TES has relocated the command center to coordinate with the Orange County Sheriff's search command center. The new address is: 6317 TPC Blvd., Orlando, FL. It is located on the corner of TCP Blvd. and McCoy Road.
• Over 100 searches, 25 search dogs showed up today with more people arriving.
• Mark Nejame will be representing George and Cindy, apparently to stem negative publicity.
• Oddly after Cindy made the decision to meet with Mark and try to do something with the public she sent the following email to WFTV about Tim Miller, Texas Equusearch and Leonard Padilla:

"Leonard Padilla and Tim Miller came to me under false pretenses. Both claiming their sole purpose to find Caylee alive. Tim Miller misrepresented his intentions, and is falsely accusing me of not cooperating with him, when it is evident his motives were to obtain publicity for his organization at the expense of exploiting my granddaughters disappearance. Tim Miller tried to discredit Kid Finders Network by falsely stating that they tried to pull out of the search for Caylee. Mr. Miller also claims that he spent twelve hours in my home with my family including Casey, when in fact he spent only a few hours total with me and minutes with Casey. This is an example of Tim Miller following in Leonard Padillas footsteps. Although I feel his organization has a purpose, his misrepresentation has tainted the efforts of so many people with good intentions. I would have expected Tim Miller to speak with me one on one, rather than me hearing him on Nancy Grace."

• The bond company that put up $300 for the first set of economic charges has done the same thing again. This was news to Jose Baez who showed up at court, but Casey did not have to appear. We believe this bondsman is paying the bond so that Casey does not get credit for time served on these charges.
• Jose Baez met with George and Cindy til after midnight last night at their home.

There is a lot here so bear with us tonight. The links below the bullet points should cover it all in more detail. We figure our TV will explode during Nancy Grace. BOMBSHELLS and all. This post will be updated as needed.

• Cindy Anthony met with a new attorney today. Mark Najame is a high profile attorney. Not sure if he is for Cindy and George or Casey, and if will take the case pro bono. 
• Chloroform in suspiciously high levels were found in Casey's trunk and searches about chloroform were found on Casey's laptop
• TES searches continue, and unknown evidence has been found. It is not known if it connected to the case. Evidence was turned in from Jay Blanchard park and possibly other locations. Could have been raccoon bones as indicated in the article?
• Leonard Padilla has said that bond could be reinstated for Casey if she tells investigators where Caylee's body is.
• Also hearing some rumblings about Gale St. John's (psychic) Cadaver dogs getting a hit near the airport and the area is now being looked and sealed off by OCSO.
• New charges filed for more economic crimes, more checks of Amy's it looks like. Link to affidavits. 
• Sheriff Beary responded to Cindy Anthony's demand for an apology from OCSO, with "Won't happen. Won't happen. We're doing our job."

Tim Miller, and Texas Equusearch needs your help

This is a post for support, if you can get to Orlando to search please do so, if you can donate money please do so. If you can send water, get food contributed do so. Anything you can do, do it. If the Orange County Sheriff's Department can hand Tim Miller and Texas Equusearch 25 airboats, mounted support and $5,000, you can help too. 100's of people are needed on the ground in Orlando. But there are other ways to help as well. You can even email or call the press to keep the SEARCH FOR CAYLEE in the news, and that TIM needs volunteers, not CINDY.

Prove Casey wrong, prove Cindy wrong, stop the spin from AnthonyLand. Search for Caylee on the ground in Orlando. Everyone who has gotten close to this family has gotten burned, this needs to stop. Tim almost threw in the towel yesterday. Show him you support the OCSO and his team, TODAY. We could put up cases everyday that TES could be searching on, but today, tomorrow and for the forseeable future the search is for Caylee.

Any volunteers for the search on Caylee Anthony can meet at the command center located at: 5750 TG Lee Blvd., Orlando. The rear parking lot behind the Holiday Inn. Time to show is 8:00am All volunteers must bring a photo ID and fill out a volunteer form. There is no fee to be a volunteer. You can even become a member of TES for $25, this allows you to be a larger part of Tim's organization. To donate water, ice or other logical things to the headquarters we suggest call the TES office at (218) 309-9500 to set up specific. If you have contacts with food establishments in the Orlando area, see if they can participate as well.

• organize and attend trail rides, cook-offs, parades and other community projects

Members of the Orange County Sheriff's Office have requested the search team stay.

"The Sheriff of Orange County has given us a check for $5,000, 25 airboats and the entire mounted patrol to continue the search for Caylee,' Miller said.

"The sheriff says he wants us to stay until Caylee is found, and we will search the entire county, state and country until we find this little girl so we can give her the dignity and respect she deserves," he continued.

Yesterday, Miller vocalized his concern over the locations flooded by Tropical Storm Fay.

"The areas we searched of course were dry when Caylee disappeared and now they're holding a lot of water. If this storm comes in like they're predicting on Friday, then we got a brand new problem," Miller said.

The small turnout of volunteers had a lot of ground to cover Tuesday and spent hours searching three specific locations.

Orange County detectives requested the search group look at abandoned military housing off the beachline. When investigators inspected Casey's phone records, they determined she placed a call in the vicinity of the old barracks.

If you watched Nancy Grace tonight, the best statement of the whole night was bounty hunter Leonard Padilla's in regard to hearing Cindy Anthony via phone for about 15 minutes prior to his appearance:

"She is living in total denial."

This had to be the LONGEST hour of Nancy Grace in recent history.  To keep it sequential:

• Dr. Larry Kobilinsky, a forensic scientist at the City University of New York's John Jay College of Criminal Justice, was interviewed earlier in the program.  Nancy, obviously with inside intel, questioned him about Casey's attorney calling him for information and consultation.  He countered pretty readily this was true, that he would be able to validate lab results and explain them, etc. and perhaps the reason Baez called him was because he's "objective."  (We agree, but it'll be like Casey's friend Ryan in the 400 page release:  he may not be able to help Baez's case.)
• Tim Miller of Texas Equusearch was interviewed live, and appeared to be very upset.  When Nancy asked him how the search was going, he basically started talking about having an open mind.  However Nancy, just before the break, said to him "Cindy is really angry with you, isn't she?"  Bless the man:  having lost his own daughter, he clearly didn't want to say anything untoward toward her or the family, simply stating he was very upset.
• Coming back from the break Nancy asked him if the family, Casey and her attorney were cooperating with him.  He hemmed and hawwed and finally admitted that he had an open mind, and Casey could have given her to someone she trusted.  He did say that he could not understand why if she did, she didn't have a phone number or an address. He went on to say that he doesn't know why, if Casey gave her to someone, he's even there and he could be looking for other children elsewhere.  At this statement, another break.
• Back from this break and guess who'd called into the show:  Cindy Anthony.  She proceeds to want to respond to what Tim said and states that Casey can't say anything and anyone who wants to question her from Tim's group would have to enter some kind of confidentiality agreement. The whole time this exchange was going on, Tim Miller was listening to her, and you could see him doing so on in the right side video window.
• Cindy was asked by Nancy if she would like more volunteers in the search, Cindy said NO, she wouldn't.  She says people aren't turning out for the searches because the public doesn't think Caylee is dead. She also stated that she thought Tim Miller's group only searched for bodies, and she called him because she was also told he hunts down people who are alive too. One gets the sense from listening to her that she thinks she can tell Tim Miller what to do, and specifically with that "you're with with us if you think she's alive and if you don't you're not" attitude.
• Cindy was adamant that she's gotten "calls" and "tips" that weren't followed up on by law enforcement.  She also claims that she believes Caylee is in Texas, Mexico or Puerto Rico. 
• Cindy was pressed by Nancy about the OCSD announcement regarding evidence of human decomposition in the trunk of Casey's car. Needless to say, if you heard or saw the NBC Today show appearance she did, that evidence really isn't evidence to her and law enforcement, in her opinion, has "leaked" it.  Nancy had to tell her that what she held in her hand was a press release by the OCSD -- they didn't leak it, they announced and released it.  Cindy tried then to counter that she was told that Caylee's urine in the sandbox or dirty diapers in the trunk could set off both the cadaver dogs and perhaps the other tests -- at which point Nancy Grace brought Larry Kobilinsky BACK in and asked him about that claim, which he immediately refuted. He was also questioned with Cindy on the line about the veracity of the FBI labs which had done the testing.  Larry would NOT diss the FBI labs and alluded to Cindy that scientific forensic evidence from the FBI labs is usually pretty good.  Wonder if Baez will call him back after that?

Last but not least, at the very end, Leonard Padilla. He, if you ask us, had the only news we didn't know (if you believe him) for the night.  He warns that the bombshell will come when the formal forensic evidence is released and that Cindy, Lee and Casey have known since last Wednesday what test results were from the FBI.  He also believes a dumpster a mile and quarter from Tony Lazarro's home may play a major factor in this case. 

To us, how Tim Miller has been treated by Cindy Anthony, Jose Baez, and Casey Anthony is appalling, insulting and maddening. This is a guy who is well respected, has lost a daughter of his own, and dedicates himself and others to finding missing children. This just goes to show that whilet he public may not always like attention-grabbing Leonard Padilla, 2 entirely different people now (Leonard and Tim) have been swayed and misused by Cindy Anthony and her daughter Casey. 

Caylee Anthony - Tuesday Morning Update

• Casey Anthony has rejected the State's Limited Immunity deal
• Orange County officials also said they're planning to file more charges against Casey Anthony dealing with money she's accused of taking from family members.
• Cindy Anthony was on the Today show this morning. She said she maintains her belief that her granddaughter is alive. "I believe Caylee is with someone Casey had trusted. I believe that Casey, you know, had been betrayed, and, you know, it's unfortunate that it's going to take the average citizen to bring Caylee back home to me alive and not the authorities," Cindy Anthony said.
• New information was released Tuesday morning from the Orange County Sheriff's office, indicating that Casey's attorney, Jose Baez, visited Casey at the jail Monday night. The visit between Casey and Baez lasted about an hour and a half, according to the jail spokesperson.
• "We have scientific evidence back from the FBI lab,” Commander Matt Irwin with the Orange County Sheriffs Office said. “We have other evidence we have not yet released publicly, all of that evidence at this point in its totality leads us to believe Caylee is deceased."
